Hey there GJ folks!

I wanted to come in and say hi.

I am a major car guy and I've always wanted a nice garage to store my toys in.

We just bought a new (for us) home about 3 months ago, but where I live, real estate is particularly pricey, so getting a home with a 3 or more bay garage is not easy. Thus, we ended up with a home with a 2 car garage and disappointingly, the garage was quite a bit smaller than my prior garage.

On the other hand, it is fully finished (i.e., insulated, drywalled and painted), unlike my prior home's garage, which was just framing. I do have a big storage shed, so some of the stuff resides in it. When we bought the house, there were lots of wire shelves hung, but I'm not much of a fan of those, so I pulled them all down and put up some Home Depot cabinets. They were super inexpensive and I think they look great. Along one of the side walls, I have a large cabinet set up. I also have a hose reel for the air compressor, a retractable extension cord and a fire extinguisher mounted on the wall. I'll also be installing my wall-mount shop vac soon.

My next step is to install a RaceDeck floor, then maybe I'll put up a couple of ceiling fans...

All in all, I'm pretty happy with how its going. Maybe someday, I'll build a free-standing garage, but for the short run, this will work...

What brand of cabinets are those? What is "inexpensive"?

Got more pics as it sits, it looks like you're on to a great start!
