I do not like cornwell warranty. EVERYTHING has to be through the dealers. A simple ratchet rebuild kit had me driving 30 miles to meet the rep and talking on to several people. Granted they gave me a new ratchet, but I would much rather have mailed it in or had a rebuild kit mailed. Snap-On I just call for new rebuild kit...again free and mailed to me. Or if I wanted a new ratchet I could have mailed it in on their dime.Toolbox, well just got a used Cornwell one. Snap-On boxes I just call and get whatever new slides I need free. No questions asked. Again, Cornwell...1 year warranty...have to follow down their chain to the local rep. Talk to him and wants me to call him 2 back Mondays from when I first spoke with him and have to meet him and pay $25 for them.
Now Cornwell warranty service is quite good, I am not complaining. But it is complete **** as far as warranty compaired to Snap-On in my experience. Snap-On has gone so far beyond the call. Cornwell, well they do ok.
I have not had dealings with Mac warranty, though if they are anything like their sister company Proto or even Stanley, then I would also rate their warranty service well above Cornwell. Matco I have never had any dealings with, but need to soon.
Of course this is dealing with the companies directly. Different reps for any company can be good or bad.
