Hows Modular flooring for standing all day? Large spills?

I have 2 garages in my new house and I am considering modular flooring and am curious how it is to work on all day. Will they be more comfortable than concrete? How's the noise? What if you pull a radiator hose off a car and a lot of antifreeze spills out, will most of it stay on top of the solid tiles or will it seep through by the time you can get a mop? Just a few questions I have, hoping owners with experience will chime in. I have 1650 sq ft to do. I'd hate to spend the money on the modular setup and decide I can't stand the noise or if I have an accidental spill I'm in trouble. Thanks

Racedeck delivers good anti-fatigue for standing all day. It is not soft like a foam or rubber floor,but really that is not what you want in a garage for many reasons. Hi, our solid PVC Polymer interlocking tiles www.supratile.com have very tight interlocking joints and do not leak fluids. We use them in fire houses, see www.armor-tuff.com where there is tons of water from wash downs and cleaning.

Also the SupraTiles are oversized and have 1/4 the amount of joints than standard 12" square tiles so 1/4 the chance of liquids going below them.

I’m assuming your looking for a diamond plate style floor and not one like Swisstrax ribtrax. On the diamond style floor I just spilled a ton of washer fluid on it and it all stayed on top. Easy to clean up. On the open tile designs (ribtrax) it falls through immediately for obvious reasons. Both styles are much more comfortable than bare concrete and I don’t think there is any noise issue with them. Not clicky when walking or anything. Best thing to do is order a few samples from the big manufactures and see what you like most. I prefer Swisstrax, but everyone should feel each tile out and decide for themselves. That way you can see the specific colors too.
