HP SpartaCote is a pretty big boy in the polyaspartic business, usually have a pretty impressive (if not just expensive) booth at World of Concrete. Their claim to fame was having a patent on overindexing polyaspartics above a 1.5 ratio, which they call 'dual cure' as its a mix of moisture cure and two component curing. They claimed the only way to get a 1:1 mix ratio with a polyaspartic was to overindex or use solvent, I know they tested our product to see if we violated their patent, and they have gone after competitors quite aggressively.
Their normal product is solvented, with a non-VOC solvent so they can advertise as "zero VOC". I've tested it, not super impressed, hot tire pickup wasn't stellar, elongation was pretty much zilch, colors flocculated, and the solvent they use really turns my stomach. That being said it is a polyaspartic, and there are some good features, and the low viscosity penetrates into concrete pretty well.
Looks like this new Pure is a 100% solids, but doesn't seem to be anything special. Tech data says that you can walk on in 6-8 hours, so the speed bonus of a polyaspartic is not really there. They probably had to slow it down that much to extend the pot life at 100% solids. I'm pretty sure they bought the formula for their original product, so I wonder if they got into the actual chemistry for this...
