I banned the problem member. I am working on deleting the posts, but I can't view them without being kicked out of here and redirected.

I was able to view his posts going through his member page and selecting to view his posts. Would that work?

*edit
I could actually see the code he put in, but wasn't redirected.

man, what ever happened to good old-fashioned spam **** links. Now we have spam bots sending PM's to members and posting automatic redirects to other sites!

In Firefox, type about:config in the address bar, type accessibility.blockautorefresh, right click the filter and click Toggle to set the value to true.

That should kill autorefresh and stop the hack from working.

Good info sir, thank you. I hope not to need it here in the future, but you never know.

I am sure that you could ban him. At the bottom of the threads, there is a "moderation" menu on the lower-right. Select the offending post, then pull down "delete as spam" from that mod menu. It will then ask you if you want to ban the member and delete all of his other posts, too.

Mods can't ban.

Really? They don't have that little mod panel down in the corner? I thought Ryan sent us all a message about that last year. Maybe it was just the two of us.

Yes, they should have that pulldown to delete posts, etc., but I don't think they have an option to ban.

Well now I want one of them to test it! The fourth item down in that menu should be "Delete posts as spam." If selected, that then gives the option for banning.

Import, can you try it out?

Here's what I get ..

See, you do have it! "Delete Posts as Spam." That right there is the one you want. Check the box next to the post that is spam, select that item on the menu, then it will ask you if you want to delete the rests of the posts by that person and ban them!

You have the power!:lol_hitti

Now delete Bull's previous message as spam...see if you can ban him. :)

Hey! What is this, a mod war? :lol_hitti
