It's German, and it's my favorite tool for track day fun.....(it did have German tools in the truck at one point if that counts)....240k miles, still almost perfect compression, and leak down 6-10%, the Germans do know how to build them....

These nice new German tools would look great in the track day tool box :)

The Felo 07157 53439 set of insulated screwdrivers. Often, the lugs in electrical panels are exposed, and they are live even when the main breaker is off. The insulated tools give me extra protection when I'm working in the panel.

I really like my Stahlwille 452 3/8" flex head ratchet. It is strange looking, but really comfortable to use.16e6283931f33f0bfcf64f0ff7f7d6a4.jpg

My favorite German tool is a Lamy 2000 pen set. I've used these for well over 20 years, and the one ball point pen on the left has the satin finish worn completely smooth. The pencil has a broken cap, and to be honest I don't much use the pencil anyway. But I really should see if I can get a replacement part for the pencil.

Fortunately I followed my "Rule of Two" many years ago. That rule requires that if I like something that might need to be replaced, I buy two of them figuring that they will always cost more in the future.

The set on the right hasn't been used and is waiting to be put into service when needed.

While the Knipex pliers wrench are amazing ... I just don’t use them a lot for the stuff I do. I’ve got to go with my Wiha Drive-Loc VI and IV series handles and blades. Thanks for the contest!

My Favorite German tool is the Knipex plier wrench and cobra, followed by Wera and Wiha made tools. I love how they look and feel in the hand most of all as well as how well they install and remove fasteners. Thanks for putting this on for us!

My favorite tool is my Wiha Precision Master Technician Bit set. Use it all of the time and it makes easy work of any disassembly.

Hey Garage Journal! We have been quiet on here for a bit, but we have some exciting new tools and we want to celebrate with you! Felo is making pliers and cutters again and they are awesome! They come in both standard and insulated, in a variety of styles. And better yet, ALL Felo products are 20% now to the end of the year at kctoolco.com!

What better way to spread the word than to giveaway a Felo prize package worth over $250! Here is what you will get:

7” Combination Pliers
8” Needle Nose Pliers
8” Heavy-Duty Lever Diagonal Cutters
10” Push-button Waterpump Pliers MX
A 6-piece Ergonic Slotted and Phillips Screwdriver Set
And a BONUS, the ¼” Mini ratchet!

All you have to do to enter is post in this thread what your favorite German tool is, or if you don’t have any, which German tool you most drool over!

The winner will be randomly picked a week from today, Monday October 23, 2017. Good luck!

They only German hand tools I own are Knipex plumbers pliers in 2 sizes. When I bought them, many years ago, I had never heard of Knipex and I don't know if the Cobras even existed yet. I do like them. That self locking feature is really great.

Fein 7" and 9" angle grinders, they are so much nicer to use than the more common brands, worth the high price but even better if you get a great deal on them like I did.

So far my favorite German tool is my knipex cabinet key. Sounds simple, but I use it almost daily.

I really like the Hazet specialty wrenches that I have like the transmission/oil service female hex plug on German cars. You should change those to male but if you get a car that has the female, this is the best tool.

The Knipex pliers wrench has changed the way I perform a number of tasks inside and outside. I have every size except the 125 and 400 and will very likely get the 400 at some point.

wiha system 4 driver with 00 phillips bits, which I bought from KC tool last year when a Mamiya RB67 PD prism finder I was taking apart last year stripped every precision phillips I owned including the 6 piece sears craftsman set I'd been using for 35 years
