I was up in Michigan last weekend at a sale out in the country when I stumbled upon this big *** vise. They were asking $200 for it, which seemed a bit steep to me. It didn't work right...the part you move to adjust the vise wasn't connected to the jaws b/c it wasn't moving. I don't know how hard that would be to fix...but I thought the vise was cool so I took a couple pics for you guys...

It's a bruiser alright, but I would have passed as well. In actuality unless it was a screamin deal I would rather put my money towards a quality vise, of a bit more modest size.

too much, but for a quarter of the asking price I'd like to have one like that to refurbish.
Here in the UK I've passed on a few of similar age where they have been asking £150 or so.
For £25 ish, I'd have a punt.

For $50 it would have been a good deal -- the jaws look pretty worn and may have to be machined to get it straight again. Nice size though --
