Hi All I'm AussieMatt!

Been reading the amazing posts on here for a while and thought I had better join up and start pickign your brains for tips on my new project.

Currently live in country Victoria in Australia (in case you couldn't work that one out :eyecrazy:)
and will be embarking on a new (30 x 40) build sometime in 2012, so now is the time to get it all sorted, and hopefully you guys won't mind helping me out a little (OK a lot)

Cheers

Gday matt. Sounds like you are headed in the right direction building the biggest garage the shire will allow.
Look forward to seeing the build.
There is an Aussies group on here too. I'm sure someone will chime in with the details

Hi Guys thanks for the warm welcome,

Quite a few Aussies on here then lol

I am up in the North West in Charlton, halfway from Melbourne to Mildura (about an hour due west of Bendigo)

Best part of the Shire Council out here is I COULD go larger if I wanted to, but it would eat up too much of my yard and I still need space in the yard for other things to come yet.

Yeah the measurements are in Foots and enches!, I thought being a US forum I had better convert - metres, but it will be around 9.5 metres wide and 12.5 metres long, not massive but big enough to keep me busy for a little while filling it up!

Cheers

Thanks,
at the moment I am tossing up the height, the shortest will be 3.6 eaves but hoping to stretch it to a bit over 4 metres, that will give me enough height to have a decent Mezzanine over one half of the floor space.

Cheers

HEHE mine certainly have their moments, but they are usually pretty good - they did verbally approve for me to build 12 metres by 18 metres originally, as long as I kept two seperate points of access, which is fine for me to do in either building, but I cut it back a little the 9 x 12 will also have a 6 x 5 Carport off one side - just for good measure.
