I got this big long reach round face body hammer today. I've had a number of big long reach bumping hammers with the cylindrical face but haven't seen this style before. There are no markings of any kind on it. I think the handle is a replacement but maybe not. If the handle is not salvageable I have a new handle just a couple of inches shorter that will be a good fit. It measures about 23 inches overall with the present handle. The head is 10 inches long with a 2 inch round crowned face. Any ideas on the maker or the correct name for this type?

That probably would be called a "long reach bumping hammer." It has the face of a bumping hammer, and the long reach like a "long reach fender bumper", which has a round, cross bar contact surface.

I've seen plenty of regular bumping hammer like the pic attached but never one like this one. every shop I worked at the guys called them "horse *****" or "donkey ****" hammers. That thing is cool. If you want to part with it let me know. I love vintage body tools.
