Huge Oil Stain help

Hey Fellas
Before I built my new garage I had to keep my 57 Chevy in the house garage. Back then that thing leaked oil and Trans. fluid all over the floor. now I have this huge stain. What can I use to get it cleaned up. I would sure app. any advice.

Well, define huge. I assume you've used kitty litter or rice hulls to soak up the loose liquid.

Coca-Cola works well on small stains but for big patches look for an emulsifying degreaser. Zep sells one and I'm sure there are others. Let the emulsifier sit for an hour then scrub with stiff brush and hot as hell water.

Acting quickly is probably the best chance to stop permanent staining. SO QUICK, GET OFF THE COMPUTER AND DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!

I just saw an ad on TV for a product from CLR called Grease Magnet. They showed it being poured on a grease stain on concrete, brushed then hosed off. I have never tried it personally so I have no idea if it really works. Has anyone else tried it? Looked great but it was an ad so it would.

cover it with floor dry or cat litter may work then soak the floor dry with acetone. you may need to do this several times if its been there a long time.

Oil eater. Full strength, parts brush, scrub, rinse. Repeat if necessary.

Yes! This stuff works awesome. Our trucks have always left little oil spots in the garage since we built it and it took care of them, or it took care of most of it.

soak the stain with mineral spirits, scrub with a stiff broom, the cover the area completely with oil dry.
wait for it to absorb, and sweep.

If your floor is just raw cement I use the speedy dry {not the advanced auto stuff, the white stuff that turns to dust, I forget the brand}, then use odor kill powder from Utility Mfg. It works great, I started using it a long time ago when I did heating oil service, it soaks in then sweeps up no marks on cement...

Get a bag of oil dry sometimes called speedi-dry spread it on the floor, take a small piece of 2x4 wood and grind all the oil dry into the floor, sweep up and stains are gone. You may have to hit the heavy stains again.

I've recently heard of using unenriched wheat flour to pull ignitible liquids out of concrete. Would it work for an oil stain, I don't know.
