This is a really nice Parker 107.
It has 6" jaws, and weighs about 132 lbs!
It opens to about 10.5", and will handle just about anything you can throw at it!
It does show wear and use. In particular you will see wear behind the jaws, where the anvil might be if this style of vise had an anvil : ( The jaws show wear... this should be no surprise on a vise of this vintage.
And there was a break on the handle end of the screw, where it meets the moveable jaw. It is on the part of the screw just under the "Parker" part that holds the handle to the moveable jaw. It has been well repaired, with flame brazed bronze. All of these are shown in the pictures.
The old paint has been stripped off and everything cleaned. Before reassembly both parts of the vise were coated with boiled.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Oh, and I'd really rather not have to box up this beast. If there is a way I can just drop it off somewhere and have someone else take care of all of the shipping details (and the cost of course) I'b be happy to do that.
Thanks,
Steve
