I have a honeywell tru steam which they no longer make. They actaully work great when they work. Had to run a seperate circuit since it pulls about 10 amps. i have a 9 gallon per day. I use a vison pro iaq stat that calls for humidity, fills and heats the tank and then the humdifier grabs the g terminal around 176* water. The problem with the Trusteam, the heater if it burnt out is non replaceable. I also have a ultravation uv system and when I had my old april air 760 it did keep the mold off BUT the plastic was not uv rated. I covered everything plastic with metal tape. They raised our water rates so I wasn't letting the humidifier piss water and my money down the drain. If the trusteam takes a dump ill still stay with steam. I just bench tested a 6 GPD last weekend I had sitting and installing it in my daughters home.

Honeywell warrantied the hell out of them at one point in time. The wholesaler I worked returned a few hundred of them. Too bad yours still works!

I am pretty sure there is a five year warranty on them, but they haven't made them for about that long. There is a four digit date code. If it is under the 5 year warrantyu you can return to to a Honeywellwholesale ans get full credit on a new Honeywell steam humidifier which is actually made by Nortec

i put in a few 12s and mine originally was a 6 and swapped to a 9 and i pulled the 6 out of my inlaws house before it sold. I did have a set of probes go bad on my 6 and went to the 9. Knock on wood they have been great otherwise but they are used with softened water and have a humidi pure from calgon in line. I'm in the industrial/ commercial side . My original 6 was put in around 08 and was warrentied for the 9. I not to sure Im wild on the new style steam buckets although they can be replaced. i replaced quite a few of the Liebert steam canisters. i used to take the pans from the Liebert humidfiers that use the long pans and lights and soak them in ice machine cleaner to clean the calcium buildup out. I had 22 Lieberts under a maintenance contract so i picked up extra pans and rotated them. That calcium can get nasty.
