Hunting for rivet dies

I need to replace about 50 rivets like the one in the attached photo. The material is fiberglass. The diameter of the old rivets is .140 and the grip is both .200 and .250. We prefer to use stainless steel. They are flat or slightly oval shaped head tubular rivets with the six “legs” on the compressed side. Having the legs is important and I can't find a name for the design or a source for the dies, just outrageous quotes not meant for a small job. I remember they were used on toys, leather, cardboard, tin parts, back in the 60's. But now, ****!

The rivets are supposed to be standard semi-tubular rivets and the die cuts them when it curls the backside over.

Can anyone help me with a name or current application or source?

Peel is a word I hadn't thought of to use, but that looks to only be used with blind or "pop" rivets. I need semi tubular and all they have is "split", but thanks for the new word to search with.

That looks like a "tubular" rivet to me and the tool would be a tubular rivet setting tool. Leather crafters use those alot. Maybe search the Tandy leather site.

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
Tubular rivets, and Granger (that sources FROM Hansen's at about 1/3 the price...)

You need the right rivet set - looks like a punch with a little "dimple" in the tip to make the rivet curl. You can also get a press (usually antique, but they work better, at least for me) to set the rivet.

Use them (in brass or copper) for brake linings all the time. Now I play with solids, but yeah... nothing works like a rivet.

You could always use Cherry Max Rivets unless you want the star pattern on the back side for looks. Cherries would be stronger.

Those look identical to what I use to attach blade holders to hockey skates.
.140 diameter, the length (before crimping) is stated by the number of 16ths. A #5 rivit would be 5/16 uncrimped. Have not seen stainless.
They are used in a press, the tool that make the legs is call a burst die.

I get my supplies from Canada, but here is a US source:
