Huot drawer pulls

Hi, seeking advice. I picked up three well used Huot drill cabinets and am starting to break them down for refinish. I've pulled two of the pulls/knobs without breaking them, but feel like with nearly 30 knobs it won't go well, since I started with the two loose ones. I don't want to crush the plastic with pliers of course. Any advice on the best/safest way to pull knobs from the cabinets that look like the attached photo? Thanks.

I would try to grip it with something that wraps completely around the knob. Something as simple as a block of wood drilled the size of the knob, then split so it can squeeze down on it might be just right. Then twist more than you pull and it should ideally back itself off.

Try using a flaring block, after wrapping the knob with tape or inner tube rubber.

Thanks for the advice. The wood solution got me down a path. See the attached images. One I loosened up the pull from the front, I was able to wedge a pry from the back side underneath the screw/rivet, where I could apply a little force than directly on the plastic. All went ok. Thanks.
