Anyone know where to get a late 50's slider for a tool chest? Bought a rolling cart and a tool chest in a garage sale and I'm fixing them up right now. Bottom is KR-558 Snap On 1971 and the top is a Huot from the late 50's maybe early 60's.

The problem is I'm missing a slider on the Huot box. Anyone know where to get one or some sort of generic that might work?

Apparently I have to post 5 times to link to high res pics for you.

Slider in question. Huot does not carry any parts for their old products. Got to be some sort of H-channel out there that I can cut down to size or something? At the moment I can't find anything that will work for a slider.

Anyone have an idea of what to do or where to go? Had the though that if I have too I will cut one slider in half and that will be enough to have the drawer sit right in the chest, won't be fully functional but that might work well enough.

the full extension slides need 1/2" clearance on each side . they are available in all sorts of lengths. I replaced a damaged husky slide with one & it works great. not going to get an award for being manufacturer correct, but it works, and better than the OEM do
