Thoughts on these Husky 100 Position Double Ratcheting Wrench Set.

While stalling for time at Home Depot these caught my eye today.

Look sleek.

Bummer they only have 6 sizes and don't appear to sell singles in other sized.

I tried the open end side ratcheting action and it seemed nice!

Now that I have a Husky 41" Tool Chest coming soon, figured it would be cool to have some black husky branded tools in them. Along with my other brands like Craftsman, etc...

But the black wrenches looked sleek to me.

I'd pass...these are another take on "ratcheting open ends"...:lol_hitti

Also black chrome in general I'd avoid. Although thats another topic--poor visibility without much other benefit in return.

I have a set that I picked up used. The ratcheting open end is the perfect tool for a few jobs but not many. It's got a lot of drag. The other end is nice enough but I'm just as likely to reach for one of my other ratcheting tools. The black isn't chrome, it's paint (probably powder coat) and it chips really easily. The Husky 100T (same based guts as the GW 120T ratchets) has the same painted finish. Not a good finish.
