Hey what's up guys

On a whim ran out got this 26" Husky 4 drawer (for small home use - spares). got it home, to find a little teeter totter to it.

Chalk it up as you get what you pay for? or are other guys with this box just fine?

The corner of the box was punctured but it was last one on the shelf. AND employee dropped it in my cart while ringing up...

Anyone else got this issue? known issue? or just sh*t quality box? Anything else better in its price range? the 26" HF top for $300 is ridiculous.

Thanks in advance!

I have had one, the gloss black version with a matching top box for a couple of years. Mine is solid, but I went through several at HD to get one that was in perfect shape. Compared to my US General 26" the Husky is pretty noodley but considering that I think I got both the top and bottom for less than 1/2 of what I paid just for 26" USG bottom I've been happy with it. Mine only gets moved for cleaning or rearranging the shop so it has a pretty easy life.

For the price the Husky boxes are pretty good, but they are a very inexpensive chest and they keep the price down by using light gauge metal.

Aright. Glad to know you had to swap out. I’ll be headed back tomorrow to find a better one.

Are we talking lower roller cabinet or the 4 drawer tool cart?
If it's the cart, loosen the screws/bolts holding the legs, put some load on/in it and retighten.

^Talking the 4 drawer top gloss black chest.
Went back they all had the same problem. Ended up with the more expensive wrinkle version. Seems much better so far.

Yeah they didn't have that one when I got mine. They did have about 10 of the gloss black, so I just went through them until I found a good one. Some had drawer issues, some were a bit wobbly, but would have been serviceable.

In a home shop if you are the only one in and out of them, they are decent tool chests. I think I've had mine about 5 years and it is like new. In a work environment where it gets heavy use or particularly where many people (who didn't pay for it) are getting in and out of it, I don't think they would hold up very long. They are definitely light duty, I'm pretty sure I could scrap mine by hand like Clyde the Orangutan scraped cars.
