I saw a Husky air compressor Model #4610A this morning at HD and was wondering if anyone has had any real world experience with it. Looks identical to the CAT 4610 model with slight differences in the specs, hence the model number I guess. I'm looking for input about the noise and reliability factors as it will be used while I renovate our rental unit (blow gun and air nailers primarily). By the numbers it looks like a pretty decent unit.

geez... i was about the post the same question but decided to search first; no answers anyone?

i saw this compressor today at HD too. definitely looks like a rebranded version of the CAT-4610A, but the specs are tiny bit off and it looks like the drain is a ball valve instead.

I have one.....and a review coming out shortly on it.

Pros - Aluminum tanks, VERY quiet, low amp-draw, 2 outlets, 3yr warranty

Cons - 120psi max, Aluminum tanks (not as strong as steel.....can get dented/damaged much easier)

It airs up pretty quickly & I can run ANY nailer at the end of a 100' hose (1/4" line with 1/4" fittings).....including a full size framing nailer.

I think for the price & warranty it is a good deal. The California air version costs more & has only a 1yr warranty. Other than the stickers, they are identical.

Regarding the comparison to the California Air Tool 4610A, do you have both when you say they are identical? Do you see or notice any differences on the Husky version that can account for the slightly lower CFM ratings on the Husky vs the CAT-4610A?

HD website states the Husky max PSI is 125PSI, but I've seen some reviews that state the compressor stops at 120PSI like the CAT-4610A does. Your "cons" list above basically confirms this right?

Thanks... looking forward to your review...
