The gauge metal used in the husky boxes is really thin. if you have a HD near you go and open a drawer and push lightly down on the drawer bottom. lot of flex . by comparison if you have a HF near you check out the us general 44 inch box , you will find the construction is quite a bit heftier.

No. With my steel toe boots on, I can lift the entire stack about 2" off the floor with little effort. That's not an accomplishment either. That's just how light the box is. It looks awful apealing with full length drawers, but once you feel it up and violate it, its not so appealing.

I see you are in Ohio. As stated, go look at harbor freight. There's two in Columbus, one in canton nd a brand new one in streetsboro. Also if you are in southern Ohio, the one in Vienna wv isnt too far.

The 44" goes one sale for $389 all the time, and with patience you can get it for $359. You just missed the best price they've had in a long time, $349.

Then there's the 56" that goes on sale for $699. Yes that's a jump up from $298 for the husky box, but its like comparing a Yugo to a civic. (That's fair comparison right?)

Hope this helps.

Im not the biggest fan of the Husky 41", but I do like the Husky 26" (I own it). The 26" is made by Waterloo (same as Craftsman), while all the bigger boxes are made by somebody else. If you're looking for very light duty storage, the Husky 41" might work, but I'd probably pass. The HF 44" is a MUCH better box (I own it too) for just slightly more money.

If it were me, I'd either get the Husky 26" or the US General 44", but not the Husky 41". That said, for home owner use without overloading it, you MIGHT be okay for awhile.
