They are pretty flimsy. IMHO the HF44" + 7 drawer side box would be a better setup in all aspects.

The smaller husky like that is COO Vietnam, which is a bit strange, I wonder where that one is made?

I have a 44" HF box myself. I just saw this and liked the layout/size but I realize the quality isn't as great as the HF boxes.

I do have to laugh at their sales pitch though. The problems start when you have wide and deep drawers, thin metal, and low weight BB slides.

Nobody but Nobody is going to offer a truly Professional 66 in. W x 24 in. D x 39 in. H Mobile Workbench at this price. It screams price/value/quality. Compare anywhere. This cabinet comes with a wide array of drawer sizes to accommodate a variety of tools & supplies. This cabinet is not just for storing tools but features a solid wood work surface. This spacious unit is perfect for all of your storage & work space needs.

100 lb. rated ball bearing drawer slides feature an in.auto-latch in. retention system
Solid para wood top with protective coating for stain resistance
Deluxe, full-length aluminum drawer pulls are easy to grasp, even while wearing gloves
3 sets of 5 in. x 2 in. casters (4 swivel, 2 fixed) support up to 1,500 lbs. casters come preinstalled
Rugged tubular side handle can be placed on either side of the cabinet
Drawer liners included
29,553 cubic in. of storage capacity

I was interested in the 40" one just like the one you are looking at. I was surprise how flimsy it really is. Just by pressing down lightly on the drawer made the glides bow and flex.

Seems like a nice idea, nice price, just sub par quality.

Just interesting to see them selling such a huge box! Too bad the quality isn't on part with HF cause I really dig this layout.

Me too. I would be able to scale it down to one box if it was good. Plus, I love the huge single drawer going from side to side. I wish the box I have had this.

Geezzz... I can't believe that a drawer 5-1/2' long wouldn't sag like crazy in the middle! Even the medium length drawers must be at lease 4' long and would also seem to have a saggy tendency if really loaded up ..... unless all the drawers and made of steel plate!!!!

Without actual specs on the construction of the box, I'm not going to judge to harshly. 1500 lbs total load and a 100 per drawers are not terrible specs for a home owner box. I'm not saying it would hold up in shop, but for a home garage I bet it would be find.

Eh, it depends on how they have the drawer stiffened. The more professional box makers use channels and structures on the underside of the drawer to stiffen it. In the olden days they used "dividers" to act as stiffener. You can actually build a much stronger, lighter drawer out of sheet metal and a few properly placed beads or channels compared to just increasing the material thickness on the bottom panel. It's not only the length you have to take into consideration, but the depth as well.

Please don't get the wrong idea, I'm not looking to purchase either one. I've just fondled them in the stores for curiosity sake. The smaller, 40" one goes on sale pretty regularly for $225. Besides the less than stellar quality, what I personally don't like is the deep drawers. I personally just thought it was interesting that they are COO Vietnam, you just don't see that often on tool boxes. :dunno:

i just bought the 46" model that is also in the add. i'm not pro, but it seems to work for me @ $239. the full lenght drawer slides were hating life when i had all my pry bars and 3/4 stuff in them. a couple small pipe wrenches too. i moved the 3/4 stuff to the box i bolted to the top and it helped. they still flex, but i just get what i want and shut the drawer to maybe make it a little eaiser on the slides. the deep bottom drawers have double slides and work for me. seemed pretty well put together wear the caster bolt on but it won't be rolled much. it should last me a while. no harbor freight close or a i would have bought the 44" from them.

i'm glad this came up.
last month I was lookin' at the smaller model at my local H-D
my main box(craftsman) has served me well for 10 or more years, but its pretty full and I've been thinking about moving up to ball bearing drawers.
when I went online and saw the 66" wide model it did seem to good to be true.

I like to open drawers and lean on them a bit to test them for bowing and ease of sliding. You could even grab a tool set or something off the shelf to watch how the drawers act. Definitely peek underneath for bracing and quality of the finish. Flimsy, rusty boxes are not good.
