Husky air compressor problems...

I have a 30 gallon oiless, 120v Husky air compressor that has a couple issues to be fixed.

#1 is that the on/off switch does not work consistently

#2 is that once the tank reaches 150 psi, it shuts off, as it should, but then when in use and it goes below 100 psi, it does not turn itself back on

Do I just need to buy a new switch and pressure regulator, or is there anything I can do to diagnose it further before buying parts? Are there any possible fixes without buying parts?

I'm certainly not opposed to getting parts for it, but I just don't want to "throw" parts at it either.

Thanks!

Sounds like all your problems lie in your pressure switch assembly. You could try taking it apart and cleaning it or you could just replace the entire assembly. If you don't want to go OEM, surplus center has a decent selection. Just make sure you match the power rating of the motor.

Does Home Depot sell replacement parts direct? I'll check out surplus center also. Thanks!

If machine tank reaches 100 to 150 psi conditions then check the regulator indications.Stabilizers is a another way to watch and judge the machine indications or power consumption capacity.:):)
