Husky BB Storage w/ Window Drawer Fronts

Earlier today I posted about a new Husky tool storage combo http://toolguyd.com/husky-clear-view-ball-bearing-tool-storage-combo/ that has flip-up glass drawer fronts.

My first thought was "hey, that's kind of cool."

Then my impression turned to "who would benefit from that?"

Now, my thoughts are still "would/could anyone benefit from this?"

Seems to me that some written labels would work just as well without sacrificing drawer rigidity or strength.

Am I being too close-minded here?

I saw that one in the store and thought it was a cool idea but has no benefit over drawer labels. Also on the lower drawers you aren't going to bend down to see what's inside you would just open the drawer.

When I got my 4 husky tool chests - regular ones, not clear kind, I thought I'd have a hard time remembering which drawer had which tools. Only took one day to memorize it.

I know exactly where eery tool in my tool box is...I still open the wrong drawer...nearly every time

Or, on your walk to the box you forget what the hell you were going to grab so you kinda just stand there and open up a few drawers till you finally remember what you were after

Sounds highly breakable to me

Sounds not bad for certain applications, the way they display it in your picture it doesn't look bad, if you had a bunch of dirty beat up junk tools not in a nice colorful retail box I don't really see any benefit for it. Might be good for part storage, oil filters, power tools, etc.

That's what I thought as well, but even then only the boxes at the front of the drawer will be easily viewable with the drawer closed. Unless shorter boxes are used, but then that's a waste of the drawer height.

I could see people purchasing them for storage other than tools. Like say in a laundry room or other clean area for misc storage.
