Hey Guys:
Why the huge price difference in these two compressors? I would like to buy one in Ontario but, man - the price difference in not logical.
I have a chance to buy a used 60 gal one off Craig's list but it looks a bit tired and needs a switch & gauge.

I would like to get the 30 gal. model for my use, I am fairly certain it would be plenty for me.

Those are the exact same VT6315 compressors made by Campbell Hausfeld. Why are there two different prices? Is the $379 the American price and the $569 the Canadian price? Does Canada charge a duty or tax on imported goods? I know every time we try to ship something to Canada, it becomes a big expensive hassle.

As far as the VT6315, it is a good and surprisingly quiet compressor. The only problem that I've seen with those is an occasional motor failure, which CH replaces under warranty.

The one on CL is a Husky 60 gal upright (the next model up from this) I could likely buy it for $200 but I don't know if it may have problems. It has been used a lot.

The two prices are CDN and US$ -- the compressor is made in the USA so there should be no duty on it at all, that is why the difference in price bothers me. I could just jump in the truck and drive to Buffalo, just would like to buy it in Canada if I could.
