Plus another thing i forgot to mention i called my HD they said they would accept a HF 20% off coupon which makes it even a sweeter deal i just happen to have 3 that are good till the middle of january that dont say on them that you cant use them on tool boxes.

I saw these at HD and thought they were pure garbage. The bottom box has a super wide 6 inch drawer with only one ball bearing slide per side and tons of slop in it.I guess the top box is better but the whole thing felt like it was made out of tin foil.

I looked at the top piece in Home Depot, they didn't have the bottom on display here; it looks about the same quality as the bottom-rung Craftsman stuff with the outside bar lock. Not very good, but not terrible. If you need bulk drawer storage for your basement, workshop or man cave it is probably an affordable option as an alternative to things like Gladiator cabinets.

Bought it two weeks ago for $299 bottom and $199 top. I love it! As long as you don't overload the drawers it's a ton of storage space on the cheap. Also looks really good. I can take a picture and post if interested.

The large 6 inch drawer on the bottom unit is a little underdone but as long as you open from the center and don't load it up weight wise it'll be fine. If you are rough on tools and tool boxes this is not for you. If you take care of things and use it for what it is meant for it will last a long time. Was nice to see assembled in USA as well, for what it's worth. I'm glad I made the purchase. Everyone that has seen it thinks it was a great deal and really are amazed at the price.

Sorry this took so long but I've been busy. Finally got some of the tools organized. Picked up the new Harbor Freight black socket organizers and love them! Definitely worth the 7.99 out the door I paid after 20 percent off. Again this is not super heavy duty but the way I baby stuff this is more than enough and definitely worth the money.

I have seen these at the store and they arent too bad, probably not as good as the mid level craftsman but for that price who can complain. Bigger than an hf box and much cheaper.

I know it's cheap but for me (weekend mechanic) it's great and you can't beat the price. If you like throwing tools in your box and tend to abuse things then this is not for you. I have OCD when it comes to keeping my tools clean and organized. I hate things everywhere as it drives me nutz and stresses me out. Working with tool on the weekend is my zen time and this box allow me to invest more in tools and less in toolbox.

These were discussed in another thread. Someone mentioned that the bottom is two 26 boxes side by side. I saw the bottom in person and I think this is true. There is just a metal plate in the front to make it look like a single bottom.

I totally agree. my craftsman stack is well organized with every thing in its place. And I dont use my tools too often atleast not as much as id like. Im seriously considering taking another look at one of the bottoms. I could sell my craftsman stack on craigslist and buy one of these with a little cash to spare

If you decide to get it be forewarned that when empty the drawers have a little side to side play, especially the large top drawer. The top large drawer is probably my biggest complaint, but once you have some weight in it the side to side play is not bad.

The other drawers slide out much nicer once all of my tools are in the drawers. I think this has a lot to do with the thin sheet metal and lack of weight when empty. This did come in handy as I unloaded it from my truck by myself and got it set up in the garage without another hernia. lol

It was 299 for the bottom and 199 for the top. I won't argue the part that it's tow 26 inch put together but still a sweet deal if you ask me. I'm happy with it and don't regret the purchase at all. If the HF 41 inch boxes didn't have the crinkle finish I probably would have gone with them. I wasn't even shopping for a toolbox at HD but when I saw them there and I had gift cards for $500 I figured what the heck and snatched them up.

Lotta bang for the buck and I'm happy which is all that matters in a purchase for any of us. If anyone one has questions or wants more pictures let me know and I'll be happy to get them on this thread or PM them.

I picked up the top today. I was in HD and saw it and figured why not. They didn't have it in stock, so I took the floor display that had a few scratches in it and I got 25% off to boot for it being the floor model. For 149 out the door, couldn't beat it. Now I gotta find a bottom for it.

Hey mine is still going strong with no complaints. The more I've put it in the better the drawers work. I'm not saying to load it with lead weights but I think you get the point. Definitely no buyers remorse here! Check out my photos on page one of this thread.

I don't have the sku's but they still have at least a top at mine in Glasgow DE. I know alot of people have said they are cheap but for $498 out the door it's unreal. It even said assembled in USA. I smile every time I walk by it in the garage.

They do not even have BB slides. I agree with it being two 26-inch bottoms put together but I'm being completely honest when I say for the money you will not be disappointed.

yours look different. You appear to have an 11 drawer cabinet setup complete with a full length drawer. The current version of the cabinet are 8 drawer and have no full length drawer at all. The new ones are MSRP $350 for the cabinet alone to boot.

I suppose at $199 its still an okay deal just to have the unified work surface but ....eh. BB slides are becoming more of a marketing term with these cheapo boxes than a legitimate advantage. Heck even the Cman chests are rated for the same regardless of if they're friction or BB slides. Plus i dont think i'd want to put them to the test with 30-50lb of tools into them anyway given the bargain home owner construction.

If it were me and i just wanted a bunch of cheap storage Cman still seems to be the way to go with their liberal sales and coupons.
