Anyone seen these yet ? Looks like a good buy. Been thinking about getting the HF $699 tool chest but one of these might do just fine. Or two.

$280 isn't much for that size, however I did look at the 40" wide chests and they were absolute junk! Horrible drawer sizes, super thin, really flexible drawers. Not sure about this one though.

I have a husky 40 top box that I got a few years ago for Fathers Day. It's just fine. I looked at getting the bottom box you posted but then a guy was getting rid of a Craftsman grip latch 40 bottom for 100 bucks, (CL) so I got it.

No complaints on the Husky though...

I played with it a bit after just recently using the HF one at a friends house and I have a craftsman one. And i would have to say its better than the craftsman I have now and at least on par with the HF model.

I have seen it and I like it for the price, however my idea was to use it for a woodworking box.
The box is on the cheap side and the drawers are not great but for the price it will do in the right usage.
Though about getting one as a base for my brake but I think it's a little tall for that

Be careful as these keep changing models every year. You can see the variations by the handle type- wide smooth handles, fluted, thin, rounded, etc. They can't seem to just produce any particular series for more than a year or so, and the quality really varies greatly from one to another.

I got that same one for Fathers Day this year and I've been very happy with it. I think someone else a question a few weeks ago too.

The build quality is actually pretty good and the wood (bamboo?) top is very tough. In the second to bottom drawer on the right, I've thrown in my Mastercraft Maximum recip saw which is a fairly hefty tool and a 4.5" angle grinder and the drawer still opens very smoothly. The rest of the drawers are filled with lighter tools (eg. clamps, drills, sockets etc).

For $280, I think it's a good deal.

It looks to be very similar to the HF model 68784 in size and cubic inch capacity, but one major difference. The working load for the HF is approx 5 times the Home Depot model.
As you fill the drawers and use this box it seems like it wont last but 1-2 years till the tracks start to stick or the drawers bend.

I have a Husky bottom and top box I got about 15 years ago. Still really like it, for my use it has been very good.

I had one of the 52" models of that box. I saw one in the local HD and it's virtually the same, just 12" shorter. For the $$, it's a good deal.
