So, a drawer slide on my 52" Husky tool cabinet is falling apart. I went to HD and was told I needed to call HuskyTools. Turns out the limited lifetime warranty is only for two years and the cabinet I bought 5 years ago is obsolete. I explained I don't expect a new cabinet and I am OK with buying a new drawer slide but no dice. I couldn't even get a part number or anything remotely useful.
Has anyone replaced the slides on a Husky Cabinet? These are supposed to be the upgraded ball bearing slides.

I have, but they were warranty replacements they sent me.

I bought a Husky tool box from Habitat some years ago, one slide was broken . I just replaced it with a good quality drawer slide, pop riveted in place . I think I may have had to shim a bit , but can't recall. and to find out I would have to go to the garage LOL

Do you have pictures? Often times, people can identify the manufacturer of the slide or another box that uses the same slide from a picture. A picture might be helpful. You should post a picture.

I'll extend the drawer out and take a picture of it. What I will probably do is swap the slide for one of the drawers that is not used as much. It seems the same slide was used for all the drawers which explains why the widest drawer (52") went first. But this means emptying out two drawers. Bother.

get the PN off of the slide and try a Google search. There's a chance it was used on many other models and might be still available. And also the opposite might be true.
