Husky 1/2 in. Drive Metric Deep Impact Socket Set (11-Piece), Internet# 202934848 $19.99

I have a set of Husky 1/4" drive sockets I used for years before grabbing the advance auto gearwrench special a few weeks ago and have had no complaints. I can't vouch for the rest of these tools.

for some reason the deep impact set does not show up for me, instead there is a 200pc tool set for $39.99...good deal on the sockets for $4.99 though, ordered a few sets for spares...

Thanks for the tip.

Wonder if members and the moderator would Change this to an on going Home Depot clearance, sales, specials for 2014? I'm finding the Lowes clearance 2014 thread very handy.

I think it has been brought up before in a thread that HD may be using the same manufacturer with APEX Tool Group. I know some of the ratchets I've seen in store have been made in Taiwan. I'm not sure about that set in particular, but it wouldn't surprise me.

When I was building a tool set for my son recently I ordered some of those ratchets. They were very close to my Gearwrench ratchets. The only real differences I noticed appeared to be cosmetic besides the quick release feature. When I log into my HD account, it shows those ratchets in the previous orders section as "APEX" ratchets vs. Husky Ratchets. They were pretty decent. I did have the 1/2" skip a couple times while using, but the 1/4" and 3/8" were fantastic.

The ratchets are basically the same. I have 60t and 84t GW ratchets and these are pretty much identical except they are 72t and have a quick release.

I just received the 200 piece kit (about 40 are hex keys) and it's pretty good,
I'm very impressed with the ratchets. I've never owned Gearwrench, and these Husky's are very thin.
The 3/8 Deep sockets are pretty good, the broach only goes down about 1/2, so the nut doesn't fall all the way down to the bottom.

I don't like the 1/4 drive sockets, they are as long as the 3/8's.
kind of takes away from the ultra thin ratchet.

The wrenches have a good shape and look well chromed but feel light.

The cons:
the magnet on the bit drive is very week, and the nut setter bits are garbage-no magnets to hold screws. The hex keys look cheep with a thin black oxide coat.

But I cant complain for 39 bucks, good for a road set, No idea if the sockets, wrenches and rats will hold up to high torque.
