Never had the pliers. Had a comfort grip ratchet once. Got it for a Stanley replacement since they are the some rebranded tools. I lost it somehow and regret it to this day. Even though I have mac, duralast and other ratchets. I used the husky ratchet to do a whole drive train swap in an 89 yoda I had. It performed flawless.

Who here like husky pliers and wrenches are they about craftsman quality?
I picked up their 4 pc set recently and so far I love them. The only craftsman pliers I liked were the older professional line, but I don't think they carry them any more.
I got a set of 12pt stubby wrenches. Dont use them all that often, but I like them.
I prefer USA raised panel craftsman though over the Husky
I would say from what I have used from Husky their ratchets dont live up to Craftsman ones.

Old husky tools were of much better quality than their current offerings. Since craftsman went import I would say that NOW they are of equal ****** quality.

i have a few pieces of US made husky from awhile back, and my first set of metric sockets i ever bought with my own money many moons ago were a us made husky set that are still in great shape for their age and still use semi often or when i need to go somewhere and i throw em in a tool bag. dont have much experience with the import husky stufg with the exception of some larger sized metric combination wrenches, they are good for the price and didnt feel too bad about grinding down a 32mm one to fit a waterpump fan bolt. id probably buy some again if i didnt plan on using them all the time.

It made me think of the hygiene deprived or a new flavor of Harbor Freight scent, although I always think of that last one as a combination of bug spray and radioactive plastic.

The stuff is ok, priced right, you are not getting robbed if you need something. If I got the choice its channelocks especially in 12 inch. Sold at the same store, minor price difference, better tool.
I have as I can recall only seen 1 perfect rebrand (dont know about truck stuff) of the 12 inch, they make them for different label but one Cman was as perfect as the real deal.

I have some Husky from many years ago and they have held up for all these many years.
I picked up a Husky hose cutting pliers (one in which you can change the blades), for $6.00 dollars and that is still going strong. I seem to recall they are discontinued, hence the cheap price.
I looked at the Metric offset box wrench set they had Model # 65805 for $12.97 for 4 wrenches, made in Taiwan. I thought they looked well made and with a nice lifetime warranty; you would not break the bank and if they fail just return them. It beats having HF change their suppliers at the drop of a hat.

13 for 4 in sizes you might actually use, not much to risk, not much to store.

I have a set of Husky flex ratcheting box ends. They were a Christmas special last year.
they are ok for the price I paid about $20.00 for a five piece sat. I use them quite a bit at work. I don't think they would hold up well for a pro mechanic but they are ok for the light duty I give them.

from memory, i dont believe craftsman pliers were ever rebrand channellocks.
do you mean "copy" instead of "rebrand"? if a tool was a rebrand it would be identical, other than handle color or cosmetic differences.

I love Husky wrenches.. Actually, Husky makes pretty good tools in general. I have a toolbox for home I like a lot as well.
