Something I found pretty interesting. Looks like some husky extensions have both balls on the same side and are also marked L147 on the end instead of the shaft like most are.

Unfortunately the rubber was ripped on one side so I took the other out until I can find a suitable replacement. Pretty cool hammer though

Very interesting process trying to unravel all the little mysteries around these old husky tools. Turns out this same set used to be called BH-120 What I find interesting is that Most of the sets marked no. 999 are different from The pictures which only have one divider

Still a long way to go, but making progress. Definitely underestimated how difficult it would be to replace some of the pieces I parted with. Anyone have any extra short speeders? All I'm missing from the handle units page is the 2 short speeders and the offset handle breaker bar if it even exists

Might be A little heavy on the speculation here, but That blackhawk Cabinet Looks awfully similar to the husky one. Wonder if they just rebranded them

Here are some Husky locking pliers I found at yesterday’s estate sale. I haven’t used evaporust on them yet in case a possible future owner might prefer the rusty patina.

Almost certainly not made by Husky. They look like the GRIP-ALL, Bonney, and other 3rd party production vise-grip made by Petersen well after the locking release lever was added in 1950. You could poke around in these threads for a narrower than "60s or 70s" answer, but it was that era.

We don't know who branded them "Grip-All", but they are identical to Bonney. Bonney clearly did not make them. Probably Petersen licensed. Don has an example. He posted it in the midst of my Lugzsonian thread 'Curator's Corner' on locking plier-wrenches, linked here.

@d42jeep and @RAS61 have the same locking plier-wrench marked "GRIP-ALL U.S.A." in the same exact place. It's been discussed before without any definitive answers on OEM. Someone was obviously making them third party for several retailers. EDIT: Don replaced a non-original jury-rigged adjustment bolt on his with one from a Petersen and it was a perfect fit. Derive from that what you will.
