Hey guys. Got the 1/2" 50-250 husky (kd) torque wrench for Xmas. I notice when I want to use it at 100 ft lbs (don't know of it does it at other settings, I've only used it to torque wheels), it doesn't sit at 100. The top of the twist handle sits like a rotation under the hash mark. Is there a way to fix this?

any pics? sometimes the marks can be hard to read, and if it indeed doesn't sit at the right spot to be 100 ft/lbs and you've marked it, and it was brand new, it should still be under warranty, just take it back for one that is correctly aligned.

if you are feeling adventurous. then you should be fine to go ahead and loosen the nuts inside the bottom of the handle so you can tear the lower half apart and line the handle up with the right marks. but doing that can be a pain sometimes if you don't have an easy way to recalibrate the torque on it. easiest way to do a clicker's recal is using the digital torque adapters harbor freight sells.

I'll snap some pics later on. I painted the wrench so I could see the numbers a bit easier. I didn't know if there was an easy adjustment for the handle or something lol

Adjusting the handle usually results in adjusting the calibration. Getting the major and minor increments to align, and remain accurate throughout the scale is part of the engineering behind the product. I'd say that's were the handle needs to be to achieve the desired torque value.

Nice work on painting the increments on the case tube. Nice to see roll marked increments, if used very often usually dirt and grim work into the increments making them black too.
