I have the lowes version with the chinese engine. Works fine but the choke on the engine stinks. ever since i got it you have to pull with the choke on and then immediately choke off or it wont start. Its tempermental.

I was under the impression thats how most small engines started?
Choke on, pull to start, then when it warms up, choke off and away you go? :dunno:

The warmer climate here in the South makes something like this more common from what I understand.

I've a Japanese made trimmer that I put on choke, pull once, and immediately have to open up. If I'm fast enough with the choke lever, it starts up on that pull. If not, one more pull after it's been moved to normal, and it fires up.

If I dont cut the choke off within 1-2 secs the engine will die.

Not like my Echo weedeater or stihl trimmer. Once its started it runs fine, i was just commenting how tempermental it is to get started.

If you like that, try a wheeled blower. 2000 cfm will really piss the wife off if she accidentally gets in the line of fire!

I have one at home and use one at work. The first at work seized, but might have been a worker not using oil in the gas. The machine is great, but I haven't used many others. Got mine from Allenlawnmower.com
