Ok, So... I just bought a Montezuma Elite with, you guessed it, a Hutch. And of course i want to light it. But i like to be different and would like it to be white LED instead of fluroscent. Ive searched and searched and searched and can't come up with anything that would be bright enough. Snap-On's out of the question just due to sheer price. My biggest fear is something household wont be bright enough though. So please help GJ!

I've never had great luck lighting stuff with LEDs. Might just be me but i always find i never get enough light and its too directional.

Just some food for thought, i did see Mac has a Hutch Light onsale in the flyer this month, but after looking back its flurescent.

I did see that light from Mac. My guy actually had one and it is for sure bright. But it's short so I'd need 2. Do those LuxBars plug into a standard outlet? Bright?

As diesel noted, you need a 24V power supply. And some interconnects if you're going to install more than one (you'd need two of the 90cm luxbars to go the whole length of your hutch). Yes, they're pretty bright; 670 lumens for the 90cm natural white, which is roughly equivalent to a 50W incandescent. You can of course get a lot more light out of LEDs than these bars, but not without heatsinking. I've done a fair share of my own LED PCBs for home and automotive, and it's not difficult to achieve 100 lumens/watt these days with LED but you need to consider thermal issues and the space required to deal with them. For an off-the-shelf solution at reasonable cost, the Luxbars are pretty good. superbrightleds.com has some other options as well.
