I have a situation I was hoping you all could help me out with.
I have a building that has two seperate rooms with a foyer area that connects the two rooms. There is a rooftop A/C -Heatpump unit that supplies both rooms. The thermostat is in one room. The problem is that the two rooms are never occupied at the same time. Because of security reasons both rooms are locked up when unoccupied and cannot be gotten into.
The problem I am dealing with is when the room without the thermostat is occupied, that person cannot get into the other room to adjust the stat when needed. (I hope this is making sense)
My thoughts are to install thermosts in both rooms and then install a switch in the foyer area that can be flipped to feed one stat or the other.
Is this practical? Or does anyone have a better thought of controlling this? I am sick and tired of one person upset because they are too cold or too hot all the time.
Any thoughts?
