I went to a house to bid on an insurance claim for homeowners who had a fire from the HVAC system. Probably $125,000+ in damage.
They had a company remove the electronic air filter and replaced it with paper ones that they recommended (hepa filters standard size easy to change).
They forgot to disconnect the hot leads to the electronic air filter and over time it finally started a fire that went up the cold air intake into 3 stories of the house.
Something to remember if you do that type work.
