There are systems with / without the heat strips . I wasn't tauting one or the other . Heat strips will cost more to operate , but work in the lower temps better . Here in Arkansas , no strips needed to keep up in the winter . $1500 per unit , you'll see 2 Ton Mini's from Pioneer , Blue Ridge , Senville , etc . Better units , more money . Most offer lower seer options that cost less , higher seer ratings are more $$ . It can become a research rabbit hole . $3900 for 2 - that sounds about correct . Depends on which specific model you're looking at .
