So I've got a combination shop + kitchen build commencing and to manage costs I'm doing most of the internal work. This includes HVAC and plumbing. I am quite handy both in the garage and around the house. I've done minor plumbing work fixing things that break but never a scale such as this.

My question is, what are good resources (internet, print, etc.) for proper plumbing and HVAC practice. I'm looking at the codes and have a decent inspector I've been working with. I'll have helpers. I just want to make sure I've done good research before diving in. I've come across a bit for plumbing but HVAC has been really hard to find good skill tutorials, not sure why.

For the kitchen:
- 2 sinks
- 2 dishwashers
- 1 fridge
- Half bath (sink + toilet)
- Washing machine feeds and in-the-wall drain
- HVAC heat runs to branch from existing

For the garage:
- Utility sink
- Natural Gas Mr. Heater external vent 80K ceiling mount furnace

Any advice is much appreciated!

Thanks,
Adam

You say you have a decent inspector ? If so ask him to help with a lay out diagram .
I know most times inspector will do that for you.
