HVLP paint sprayer vs larger compressor?

Hey gang, I posted a bit ago about moving my shop long distance. I wound up selling some of the larger stuff including my 60 gallon compressor. My new home has a smaller shop, and a large compressor may not be the best choice. In the very near future I will need to spray a pile of cabinet doors for the kitchen and lots of built-ins, so I’m curious about the newer HVLP sprayers? I could go with something more like a 30gal compressor or maybe even get away with my little pancake for air uses (big automotive jobs will happen at work now) and then buy an electric HVLP for nice finish paint work. I have no need to spray walls or other large surfaces, and if I do, I have access to an airless.
I’ve always used a cup gun in the past...
