Cool idea they have there. The dewalt may heat a 3car that's insulated. These ventless heaters put off really bad smells though. They do have there place but a well insulated garage would not be one of them. They make better heaters for this type of space.

Interesting, No reviews mentioned any kind of smells. I can maybe see that using propane, But I was only thinking about occasional use, not daily. And mainly use it plugged in or on battery. Do they put off smells when using them that way?
Are there better 120 volt options that put out good heat?

If you read the description it is basically a propane heater. The fan can be powered by 110v or the battery but it still uses propane no matter what.

Oh, I guess your right, should have read that closer. I was just excited and hoping for a 110v option I jumped the gun. Thanks

Propane doesn't smell. It will release a bunch of moisture in the air.

The top two would have no problem heating a 3 car garage with any degree of insulation. I occasionally heat my 24x40 garage that has very little insulation with a 70,000 btu kerosene/diesel heater.

I don't need to read the reviews to know it will smell. I habe used a 50kbtu propane in my garage. Just like many others in cold climates, your either warm and can't breath or cold and can breath with these non vented heaters. Any fuel you burn that's not vented is going to have a small.

The only place I really found this type of heater useful was working in one of those tent garage things.

Back in the day I had a National Riverside 30K BTUH forced air propane heater for the garage. It was a "low pressure" heater so the flame noise wasn't too loud but the fan was a bit noisy. Attached is a pic of the heater I had.

I also have a tank top "infrared" heater so I would use the fan equipped heater for a while to get the garage warmed up and then use the other heater to keep the cold at bay.

I would be interested to see and hear the linked heaters running at full bore to see if would be too noisy for the garage.

Cheers

Jim
