I bought a Greenlee punch driver (767) and it's critically low in fluid. The instructions call for
Mobil DTE 10 Excel 32 or the Greenlee brand stuff. I can't source exactly that in my small town. So what alternative should I get. What should I be looking for.

A thin hydraulic oil will be OK ......oil sold as hydraulic jack oil for Porta Powers ............ .I dont use motor oils ,because they often cause seals to swell .

Any parts or farm store will have ISO 32 hydraulic fluid in five gallon buckets, and single or two quart bottles.

Often automatic transmission fluid is suggested as an alternative by manufacturers.

I found some 32 jack oil here at Canadian Tire. I cracked open the pump and drained the existing oil expecting a few cups.....it was maybe 3 table spoons. That could be one of the reasons it wasn't working well. Anyway I filled up and did some testing and it seems to work well. This is maybe the best second hand purchase I have ever made.

I bought an old long frame 4t Walker floor jack a few years ago that "never worked". Apparently somebody had it rebuilt (label on the bottom from a rebuild shop) but never put any oil in it. Got it dirt cheap and it's a great jack!
