AKA:
velocity fuse
hose break valve
flow limiter valve

I was using my Multiton SM20 forklift today to move some projects around in my shop. I ended up maxing out my lift height and the ever so slow seepage leak it had turned into a drip per 10 second mess maker. I got everything yanked apart and found that the aluminum housing of the hydraulic fuse that is used to stop a mass decent if the hose were to blow was tightened too far onto the taper and cracked. I imagine my deadheading pushed it apart just a bit more as it is definitely not a new break.

Multiton is no more so even though I have the parts manual and know that they call this a flow limiter with part number 07 350 912 I'm not finding any suppliers for it. The part itself has 1363-2 stamped into it but I'm not finding that part number on any hydraulic part pages either.

Does anyone have any experience in specifying these things out that could give me a hand figuring out an equivalent. I know that I could run the lift without it but I'm not a big fan of un-safetying equipment.

2 options that may help you.

First, hit up a hydraulic repair shop if there is one near you. They may be able to source what you need.

Second option. IIRC, Multiton was bought out by Jungheinrich which is in turn distributed (owned?) by Mitsubishi. Maybe try contacting Wisconsin Lift Truck Corp (multiple state locations). Maybe they can locate an updated number for you as they are also a Jungheinrich dealer?

Good luck.

After further review, this isn't a hydraulic fuse. It is a fixed rate flow control with a 2gpm flow. That's a lot easier to spec out a replacement. The weird part number (from Vonberg) is because it has a NPTF on one end and an SAE on the other.
