Hi Guys,
I am not sure if this is worth repairing or not. My jack stopped holding a load. when I close the valve and jack it up it simply falls just about as fast as I can jack it up. Of course I have been milking it and got pretty good getting a jack stand under the load before it falls, but now it's just too far gone. I took it apart, I am guessing the ball will not seat on the check valve, but I took it apart and it doesn't seem like there is too much serviceable in here.

Is this worth it? The seat looks okay, best I can tell - I'm not sure this is fixable. Any Ideas?

Its so old I don't even know what brand it is. I had repainted it once and the sticker is long gone.

Rick

PS is there a tool I can resurface the ball face with inside the housing?

I would say probably not worth it, if you don’t even know the brand let alone a model number you’ll spend a lot more time than it’s worth tracking down parts

that is unless these “run of the mill imports” are all literally the same and use interchangeable parts, then it might be trivial to find advice to repair or source a replacement part
