I need a power unit for a single acting cylinder for a lift table. the only thing i can seem to find that's affordable ($300 or so) has a leaver to let the table back down. I'm not really familiar with hydraulic terms but is anyone aware of a power unit that i could use a remotely(not wireless) mounted switch to pick that table up AND down rather than have to put my hand on the power unit.

thanks for the help.

I have a small hydraulic power unit complete with tank, pump, 3 phase motor etc.for sale It has a solinoid valve to control the pump output I think. Complete with motor contactor. If you think that would work I will check it out and get you some details and pictures. The price would be close to your budget. Let me know if interested.
Thanks!

You can get a solenoid "down" valve installed in place of a manual lever. You would have a solenoid for up and one for down. Find an SPX/Stone dealer in your area or look at Grainger.

The classic basic power unit used in vehicle lifts just produces pump-pressure to fill fluid past a check valve so that the fluid is trapped when the pump stops. The release is mechanical/lever back to tank thru a flow control.

To add an electric version of this you'd need a single-acting spool valve which when energized is a parallel circuit back to tank, it would be electrically actuated. I would still keep the manual version present in case you lost power or had other issues requiring a power-off descent.

The low-voltage pendant controls would then basically be: UP would be controlling a contactor/motor starter to run the electric motor and DOWN to energize the spool. Also needed would be a variety of tees, hoses, fittings. The Surplus Center catalog is a good place to start looking thru hydraulic components.

It can be done by using a power unit to raise the table, then an electrical solenoid or spool valve in the pressure line, along with a flow control valve, is used for the lowering aspect. The solenoid or spool valve bleeds the cylinder fluid back to the reservoir during lowering mode.

The flow control valve is adjusted and left in that setting to control table lowering speed. It needs to be installed in that line to the cylinder. Power is applied to the pump for lifting, then afterward applied to the solenoid for lowering. A limit switch can be added to set up a raised height limit for the table.

Sherrod, could you post a picture of these wheels? or what ever those 4 white feet are.

I have a table very close to that one and have thought over the years of making it semi movable. just something I have not look into yet. i'll see if I have a picture.

i have a set of foot pedals hooked to mine for lowering and raising. similar to this. i have it on a 10' cord.

So I accidentally bought this pump
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/173826428722
Didn't realize that if your "offer" was accepted its automatically yours

Now I'm trying to find the solenoid valve for it. I think I'm looking a 2 position 2 way valve.

Is the valve going to be generic or pump specific? I know it's got SAE 6 ports

The casters are eBay special "Footmaster" leveling casters. They are a little small and not able to lift the table on there own when leveling. But they are knock offs. They sell a ratcheting version that may be better. My table is 36x72 and kinda heavy

You got a great deal. I was going to suggest an air over hydraulic. The electric valve and a remote control will be simple to set up. Ebay has single channel and multi channel remotes you can use in conjunction with a relay to power an electric valve. Get a normally closed valve so it opens when powered.

I bought one of those originally but was worried about the 10kpsi and reservoir size. I'm also thinking about using limits to make it stop to match other equipment in my shop

All piped up. Wiring is temporary until I can finish the bench top and mount some outlet strips and switch panels
