Mine didn't have any as I bought it used from Craigslist. I went down to the local steel supply and bought 1" plate in the size of 8"x6". Paid around $35, if i remember correctly.
After time went on, sounds like that was a better choice that press plates that you purchases (at least cheaper ones) because the cheaper ones are cast which can crack and fragment under pressure.
