I bought this press frame last week for less than scrap value would be and can't find anything to ID what brand it would have been or the tonnage it was rated to. There's a sticker with nothing legible on it as well as USA which can be faintly seen in the top pieces of channel. I think that marking was imbedded in the steel (last picture). The bed is 24" wide.

It's made entirely of 5"x1.75" C-channel and it's obvious that it's been run hard and put away wet. This ***** is bent! The top pieces look like a rainbow and it is about an inch out of square measured on the diagonals.

I've put a couple of chains with ratcheting binders on it and pulled it an inch the other way hoping it might bend and square up after I release the pressure. One upright is pretty bend too and I think I can pull it off and bend it with my tractor bucket.

Any ideas on the manufacturer or the capacity?

No, it's not a Harbor Freight grade. Not even close.

Just for starters, it's C-channel not stamped steel.

It does look like a Carolina though from what I'm seeing online. Probably a 30ton. Thanks!

I would lean towards Caroline too. They are good press, way better then a HF anyday. From what I have seen, 30 tons use a 20 ton bottle jack. Larger 40 tons have a pump and ram unit.
