I fix some skidsteers, Ag and construction equipment on the side. Whenever I need to test hydraulic pressures I always rig up a gauge setup out of whatever I can find. I need some recommendations on a good test kit. Amazon and ebay both have some, but they are Chinese...Tompkin appears to have some good sets, but they cost $800....

I bought this hose assembly off ebay, hose was actually made in Germany according to the print on the hose itself. I dont have need for this style test fitting very often so it may be a while before I use it. The main setup I have is basic quick coupler the mfg. uses set up with a shuttle valve and a homemade vise grip gauge mount. Uses regular #4 1/4" hyd hose and fittings (pressures are less then 3500psi for the cranes we work on). Digital gauges are apparently better gauges from what I've been told recently.

Surplus center all sorts of hydraulic and other stuff is a pretty good resource
