Hypertherm consumables

Will be purchasing a Hypertherm Powermax 65 or 85 unit. On Ebay there are after market consumables...should I stay will the OEM parts or are the aftermarket consumables OK?

Use Hypertherm's consumables at least until your warranty is up. Amazon has them if you don't have a local dealer.

Without looking it up on Google, I think "Hypertherm" might be a plasma cutter.

I bought Hypertherm in part because the consumables are reasonably priced. I don't see any advantage or reason not to use OEM.

Without looking it up on Google, I think "Hypertherm" might be a plasma cutter.

Plasma cutters have consumable parts in the nozzle assembly, not many but items do wear and need to be replaced.

To the OP: every place I have worked we always used genuine Hypertherm.

Never used a plasma cutter for any length of time. Read a manual (unusual for me), l was surprised they stated the consumables last 2-3 hours, originally I figured under an hour. Makes the OEM parts very reasonable.

I only use genuine Hypertherm consumables on my 85 and 45xp. Feeding them clean dry air will make the consumables last a lot longer.

Already have taken air filters into account, I have multiple quality filters and an air dryer. I get a kick out of Hypertherm's seriously overpriced filters, $200 for a $20 filter.

You should be good. I've run a cnc plasma table now for 4 years at my business, and I might have enough used consumables to fill a 16 oz cup. A bad pierce or blowback from an incorrect setting are the worst for them. Normally they last a long time.
