So, I have been looking at a Hypertherm but they cost to much for me, but now that the Hyptertherm Powermax 30 XP is out, the prices have been dropping.

I do not know if anyone has posted this, but I just bought the Powermax 30 with the following:

Consumables, 120/240 plug, plastic case, etc for 995 plus tax, which is by far the cheapest I have seen it brand new.

Got free shipping but had to pay taxes because it was from Airgas.

Hope someone else can get one,

Troy

Ya, I was seeing about 1600 local, I did not really want to spend the money, but when you get something like 600 bucks off, it is really time to pull the trigger and jump in. Even my wife is excited, she wants to learn how to cut metal for her art projects, so it is a win/win for me :)

I would think so, there was no option for shipping to the store, or local pickup, but I bet if you wanted in and showed them their own site with that price, you would get it.

I was in no hurry to get it so I just took the free shipping (ground) and I was happy with that, even though one of the stores is only about 15 min from my house. And buying from them, from their site, I would think that warranties will be easy if I ever have a problem, which I really liked, I at least know the company and they have local stores.

I'm tempted by this deal. Does a plasma cutter make any distinction among the metals it cuts? Can you cut a sheet of titanium or stainless steel as easily as a similar gauge of mild steel or aluminum?

I do not know about titanium, but stainless and aluminum yes. If the metal will conduct electricity you can cut it, so I would think titanium. But, because of the reaction to just air, stainless and aluminum are about 10% less affective. If the metals do not react to air like stainless (like rust with steel) plasma is less affective, but they will still cut.

If only there was a deal on the 45... :(

I know it...i'm not really currently actively shopping for one (just cant pencil it in at the moment) but I've been going back n forth on the 45 or TD Cutmaster 52...when the day comes, i'll probably decide based on pricing. A deal like this on a 45 would seal the deal!

I waited around on the check out page and it offered 5% off.

AirgasOutlet05

Helps with the taxes at least. Or if for some reason there isn't an airgas in your state it would help.

Saw the Miller 375 Xtreme was the same price with the code, actually $4 cheaper than cyberweld.

I had a Cutmaster and got rid of it... the Hypertherm is definitely 2X the machine the Cutmaster is. Plus it's made in USA versus the Cutmaster's Mexico origin.

Does anyone know if this unit come with the hard case? The item description does not specify, and it does not clearly state the part number.

Just an FYI I tested out an 30xp tonight and cut 3/8" mild steel like butter! Not sure if the new torch makes that much of a difference. Was told $1300 for the 30xp.

I've got the PM30 from a couple of years ago. How does the 30xp differ?

New torch that enables finer cuts...or so they say. How do you like yours? Any complaints? Wondering if I should pull the trigger on this or look at a 45 or 30xp.

Ya, I emailed them and they said that the case comes with the system.

If you have a 220 source, buy the 45. I bought the 30 to be mobile and run off a 110 genny.

Mine works great; very fine cuts. Clean cuts like slicing a sharp knife through a sheet of paper...:rocker:
