A friend of mine has a Hypotherm, that he said he would sell me. He said it has a constantly flashing yellow light.

It’s a little hard to make out but, I copied and pasted his message to me below. I’m guessing there has to be someone here that has experience with these and may have had this problem or know what it is.
Thanks

Here's lights flashing if this will send, will look in manual and see if they have a code list. If you look at green light at bottom right, above it there is a minus sign that had a yellow light flashing but didn't show up in pic. Flashing constantly. The big yellow light at top is error light has like a lightning bolt symbol.Green is power. 55DDE1B7-E034-4BDF-A3B8-0A801A87B279.jpeg

I don't own a plasma cutter and have yet to use one. At a previous employer, I was tasked with repairing the company plasma cutter. It was a Hypertherm, the tech support walked me through the repair on the telephone and made me a fan of the company. I recommend them for their outstanding customer support.

Ask your friend if there is any chance the inlet air pressure could have been above 120, if it was there could be damage to a valve inside that is relatively inexpensive to repair.

I got that once on mine when I over tightened after replacing consumables. Felt like a chump for taking it in for service when they told me what I did. I must have taken apart and reassembled a dozen times.

Same for mine a couple times, it was an issue with the consumables. Replaced and all was right with the world.

Replace consumables, if that doesn’t work call tech support, they are awesome. I doubt higher air pressure would cause permanent damage in an industry that regularly sees 175 as normal air pressure.
