Anyone ever had any trouble using chrome sockets with HyTorqs? And I know you're supposed to use HyTorq specific sockets.

To the point, last night at work, we were going to be using a HyTorq but we didn't have a HyTorq specific socket, so the supervisor says "use the chrome socket. Impact socket won't fit, but in fifteen year so, I've never had a chrome socket split or shatter from being used on a HyTorq." And of course we ended up doing it. We weren't too enthused but nothing happened. Anyone ever had some bad happen from doing this?

No I haven't. Probably because in seven years of using hytorqs, I've never used anything but an impact. Unnecessary risk.
