Leave another "bait" tool out. Spray it with capsaicin.

Coat his tools with marking blue. (Prussian Blue, Dykem)

Toss a zip tie and a can of expanding foam in his tool box.

Epoxy random tools in place in his box.

My dad always tells me the story about his old shop, when a guy did something to one of his tools, And then the guy came back that night after the (theif or troublemake) and drilled and tapped his lock, for a grease zert. Filled his entire box with grease. He spant the whole next day cleaning it, and next talked to that guy again. Now I dont suggest doing this, as now you probably wouldn't get away with it. Do little things if you do anything... Take apart one of his ratchets and fill it with... gorilla glue?

fill the lock tumbler on his toolbox with silicone. make a good seal over the key hole and force the silicone in so it oozes.

its cheap, its easy, and its priceless when someone can't open their own toolbox before work starts.

then while he is working on that indoors, go outside and do his car locks too. at the end of the day he has to start all over again just to get into his damn car to get home

Grease zerk sounds funny at first, but I imagine that purchasing a whole log of grease to fill the box with may cost more than replacing the missing ratchets, and would make an unsafe environment for others in the shop while the DB cleans all the mess.

If one used the dealership grease gun, wouldn't that be stealing from the dealership/shop? Someone has to pay for it...

Well, I just know it has happened.. it wasnt a big box like this guy has Im guessing. It was a 8 drawer kennedy machinist box, so thats probably like 2 tubes for the top.

Hopefully the security cameras arent the typical POS ones and actually get you a clear image so you can get your tool back and properly educate whoever took it on the proper use of the fist.

Why did you copy my post from page 1 word for word?

and whats with the image links in your post? They only show up when I click post reply..... I copied one into the address bar and they take me to a hosting site.

it's spam. I don't see the images on the laptop, but I see where an attempt at an image was made when I use the iPad.

When you reply to them and they end up deleted by the admins, it looks like you're talking to yourself.

I checked his other posts and he is a crafty spammer! He actually tries to keep to the thread topic but the tilt yota line and the hidden image links gave him away.

If a mod/admin sees this and deletes him feel free to delete these posts too!
